Move Photos

Move Photos Within a Lot

  1. Navigate to the appropriate auction on the Dashboard and select Photos > Manage Photos.
  2. Select a batch of photos to work with from the Select Batch drop-down menu in the top right or select All. (A new batch is generated each time photos are uploaded to Wavebid.)
  3. To change the order of photos within a lot, drag them to new positions until they are in the proper order.

Move Photos to Another Lot

There are three options for moving photos between lots:

  1. Drag and Drop
  2. Move Image(s) Button
  3. Advanced Move

Option 1: Drag and Drop

Individual photos can be moved between lots by dragging them.

Option 2: Move Image(s) Button

The steps are ideal if the lot contains only one photo, or the last photo in the lot needs to be moved, or when moving multiple photos in a lot.

  1. Navigate to the appropriate auction on the Dashboard and select Photos > Manage Photos.
  2. Select a batch of photos to work with from the Select Batch drop-down menu in the top right or select All. (A new batch is generated each time photos are uploaded to Wavebid.)
  3. Hover over the photo and click the Double Arrows icon.
    • The selected photo and all of the photos following it will be moved.
    • If the photo selected is the last photo in the lot, or the only photo in the lot, just that photo will be moved.                          MovePhotos2.jpg
  4. A pop-up window will open. Enter the new lot number and click the Move Image(s) button. The photo(s) will move to the new lot.
    • Enter "Gallery" to move the photo to the Gallery Lot. Gallery Lots can be exported using the Wavebid Plugin, but will not be exported to any bidding platforms or in Universal Exports.
    • If the lot entered does not currently exist, it will be created.                                MoveImagestoOtherLot3.jpg

Option 3: Advanced Move

  1. Navigate to the appropriate auction on the Dashboard and select Photos > Manage Photos.
  2. Select a batch of photos to work with from the Select Batch drop-down menu in the top right or select All. (A new batch is generated each time photos are uploaded to Wavebid.)
  3. Click the Options button in the top right corner of the page. MoveMultiplePhotostoOtherLot3.jpg
  4. Select the Enable Advanced Move option and then click the Save Options button. MoveMultiplePhotostoOtherLot2.jpg
  5. Check the box in the top left corner of the photo to be moved.
  6. Click the Move button in the top right corner of the page. A pop-up window will open. MovePhoto.jpg
  7. Enter the new lot number into the Enter in Lot Number field.
    • Enter "Gallery" to move the photo to the Gallery Lot. Gallery Lots can be exported using the Wavebid Plugin, but will not be exported to any bidding platforms or in Universal Exports.
    • If the lot entered does not currently exist, it will be created.                                 MoveImagestoOtherLot.JPG
  8. Click the Ok button. The photo will be moved.
  •

Copy Photos

These steps can be used to copy (duplicate) all of the photos from one lot into another lot.

  1. Navigate to the appropriate auction on the Dashboard and select Photos > Manage Photos.
  2. Select a batch of photos to work with from the Select Batch drop-down menu in the top right or select All. (A new batch is generated each time photos are uploaded to Wavebid.)
  3. Scroll down to the lot to be copied and click the Copy Photos button. CopyPhotos1.jpg
  4. A pop-up window will open. Enter the lot number the photos should be coped to and click the Ok button.
  5. A second pop-up window will open. Click the Ok button to continue.
  6. The photos will not appear in both lots. CopyPhotos3.jpg

Edit Photos

Clicking on any photo in a lot will reveal multiple editing options below the photo:                                                                                                   PhotoEditOptions.JPG

  • The Counter-clockwise icon will rotate the image counter-clockwise. (This can also be done with the Photo Editor).
  • The Trashcan icon will delete the image.
  • The Clockwise icon will rotate the image clockwise. (This can also be done with the Photo Editor).
  • The Move icon (two horizontal arrows) will move the image and every image appearing after it in the lot to the newly designated lot. After clicking the icon, a pop-up window will appear. Enter the new lot number into the Enter in lot number field and click the Move Image(s) button.
  • The Copy icon will create a duplicate of the image within the same lot.
  • This Pencil icon will open the Photo Editor in a new window.                                                                                  PhotoEditorOptions2.JPG
    • From here the image can be rotated or cropped. Click the Crop button and drag the cursor to resize the image. Click the Apply button to apply the changes.
    • Brightness and Contrast can be adjusted by sliding the switch right or left.
    • Clicking the Reset button will revert the photo back to its original state.
    • Click the Save button to save changes.
  • The Barcode icon determines whether or not the image is treated as a barcode. Images marked as barcodes will have a small Barcode icon in the bottom right corner, and will not export with the rest of the auction. While this feature is primarily used with the Barcode photo upload system, it can also be used to "hide" any photos or attachments that need to be referenced in Wavebid, but should not appear on the bidding platform. For more information on barcodes, see Uploading Photos.
    • Images of barcodes should automatically be marked as being barcodes and should have the Barcode icon in the lower right corner.                                                                                                        PhotoEditorSetBarcode.JPG
  • Clicking on the Full-size icon (four arrows) will display the image in full screen mode.
  • Hovering over the Information icon will display the image file's name and the date and time it was uploaded.

For information on watermarking an image, see Watermarking Photos.

Troubleshooting

Batches Are in Wavebid but Photos Are Not

If images were previously in a catalog but are now gone, navigate to the auction and select Photos > Manage Photos. Click on the Select Batch drop-down. Click on batches to see if images appear or if the 'No Photos Found' message appears. If batches appear but images do not, it is likely the impacted lots in the catalog were deleted via Lot Bulk Actions. Deleting the lots via Lot Bulk Actions will delete the catalog images, but will leave behind the batch information. When lots are deleted, the images related to the lot are deleted as well. To correct the issue, the missing images will need to be uploaded again.
