Report Builder

Wavebid allows users to make adjustments to the view of most reports and then save those settings as a Report View that can be selected when those running future reports. This saves time by not having to adjust every report in the same way every time it's run. This article describes the process for creating and selecting report views in Report Builder.

A report view can be generated for any report or page in Wavebid that has the Report Builder (Folder icon) button in the top right corner of the page, such as the Auction Preview, Seller Settlements, Invoices Page, and any Reports.

 

Building a Report View                                                                             

Selecting Columns

In order to build a report view, users must first select the columns they'd like to see on the given report. To do so, navigate to the report or page in question and click the Columns button located on the right side of the page. Click on the column headers to be displayed on the report. Column headers in white will appear on the report, while those in blue will not. Click on the Columns button again to exit the column selector.

Saving a Report View

  1. Once columns are selected, click the Folder icon in the top right corner of the page.        AuctionPreviewReportBuilderButton.JPG
  2. Use the Report Name field to enter a title for the Report View.
  3. Use the drop-down to select a Scope. Selecting Company allows the Report View to be seen by any company user, while selecting User will only allow the current user account to see the Report View.
  4. Is Default Report?: Check this box to have the selected Report View automatically applied anytime the this report or page is viewed. If the selected scope is company-wide and this option is enabled, this report will then become the default for every company user.
  5. Click the Save button to save the Report View.

To utilize a report view that has been created:

  1. Navigate to the report or page in question and then click on the Folder icon in the top right corner of the page.
  2. Use the Select a Report drop-down menu to select the appropriate report view.
  3. Click the Apply button to apply that Report View to the current report/page.
  4. Click the Folder icon again to minimize the Report Builder window.

 

Deleting a Report View                                                                            

  1. Navigate to the report or page in question and then click on the Folder icon in the top right corner of the page.
  2. Use the Select a Report drop-down menu to select the appropriate report view.
  3. Click on the Remove button. The report view will no longer appear in the Select a Report drop-down.
