In this article describes the process for entering vehicle title information, using the VIN Lookup tool, and running Title Reports.

Entering Vehicle Titles                                                                              

While cataloging in Lot Builder, use the Title tab to enter and track vehicle Title information. This feature is especially beneficial for auction companies who do multi-car sales.

  1. To enter Title Information, navigate to the appropriate auction on the Dashboard, then select Catalogs > Lot Builder.
  2. Create a new lot or use the Go to lot drop-down menu to select a lot, then click on the Title tab at the bottom of the screen.mceclip1.png

  4. Multiple fields for managing titles will appear. (ex: Vin Number, Title Type and Status, Lien information, etc.).mceclip2.png
  5. Complete the desired fields and click the Disk icon in the top right corner of the page to Save.

 

Using VIN Lookup

  1. Create a new lot or select the lot from the Go to lot drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  2. Click the Car icon in the top right corner of the page. A new window will open.mceclip6.png
  3. Enter the VIN number of the desired vehicle and click the Search VIN button.
  4. The vehicle's stock information from the DMV will be populated in the Description field. The vehicle's year, make, model, and VIN will also populate in the Lot Name/Title field for most Wavebid integrationsmceclip7.png
  5. Click the Disk icon in the top right corner to Save.

 

 

Reporting                                                                                                 

Auction Level

  1. To access the Vehicle Title Report, navigate to the appropriate auction on the Dashboard and select Catalogs > Vehicle Title Report.                                                                 
  2. This report displays all of the information entered for the Title, as well as the lot, buyer, and seller information. Scroll Right to view the all of the columns in the report.mceclip4.png
  3. Customize what columns are seen on the report by clicking the Columns button on the right side. Click on the column titles to add or remove them from view. Columns in white will be visible in the report, while columns in blue will not.   4. Click the Export button on the right side to export and/or print the report.                                                                                             

Company Level

 

  1. To view Title information that is not restricted to a single auction, navigate to My Links > All Auctions > All Titles.                                             
  2. Configure the search using the criteria pictured below:mceclip9.png

  4. The resulting report will display title information from all lots that match the specified criteria.
  5. Search the visible columns using the Search box.
  6. Customize what columns are seen on the report by clicking the Columns button on the right side. Click on the column titles to add or remove them from view. Columns in white will be visible in the report, while columns in blue will not.   7. Export the report using the Export button on the right side to export and/or print the report.
