Advanced Auction Attributes

Advanced Auction Attributes allows users to specify an auction further than what is allowed by the default auction attributes. This article describes the process for enables Advanced Auction Attributes and defines each attribute.

First, company-wide preferences need to be updated:

  1. From the Dashboard, go to My Links > Company > Profile, then to the Preferences tab.
  2. Confirm the New Auction Default option is selected on the left.
  3. Enable the Show Advanced Auction option.
  4. Click the Disk icon in the top right corner of the page to Save.

Once Company Preferences have been set, the following changes to the Auction Settings page will appear:

  • Under the Auction Attributes tab, the Lot Attributes column to the right will disappear.
  • The Adv. Attribute Settings tab will appear.
  • New Lot Attributes will become available.

This is the full listing of attributes that will now become available for Auctions. They will apply for any lots created through the Lot Builder.

  • Assign seller(s) to lots?

  • Include option to list quantity per lot?
    • Set more than one item per lot. If it is not enabled Wavebid will assume every lot is only one item.

  • Show shipping calculator?: This feature has been discontinued.

  • Any reserve prices?: Ability to enter reserve prices for lots.

  • Different tax rates per lot?: Enable the ability to apply a different tax code to a single lot, overriding the tax code being applied to the entire auction. For more information, see Creating Tax Codes.

  • Default Bid Increment?: Bids for lots will increment with this amount.

  • Select Closing Speed: How quickly to close lots when using a bidding platform.
