The Wavebid Plugin offers users the ability to display buttons on a website that can be linked to an online bidding platform or additional auction information. This article describes the process for adding buttons/links to a website.
This article contains the following sections:
Adding Buttons
The Wavebid Plugin offers a "Bid Now" button and a "Registration" button that can be added to each event that can be used to direct website viewers to an online bidding platform.
- Navigate to the applicable auction from the Dashboard, then select Auction > Edit Settings.
- Click on the Links tab.
- Paste the URL into the applicable URL field.
-
-
- Bid Now: Displays a "Bid Now" button directing website viewers to the URL entered.
- Registration: Displays a "Registration" button directing website viewers to the URL entered.
- For events being exported to Proxibid, these fields will update with the appropriate links automatically.
-
- Click the Disk icon in the top right corner of the page to Save.
- Run a Marketing Task for that event to push the changes to the website. Marketing Tasks can take up to an hour to run. It is not recommended that users run back-to-back Marketing Tasks for the same event, as duplication may occur. Rather, wait for the change from one Marketing Task to be visible on the site before running another.
- Users who are exporting their catalog to Proxibid will see the buttons on the main auctions page.
Other users will see the buttons toward the top of the Event Details page. They will also appear under the Links tab on the Event Details page.
Custom Buttons
In addition to the Bid Now and Registration buttons, the Wavebid Plugin supports up to one additional custom button.
Adding a Custom Button
- Navigate to the applicable auction from the Dashboard, then select Auction > Edit Settings.
- Click on the Links tab.
