The Auction Preview page is among the most visited pages in Wavebid. This article describes how to navigate the Auction Preview and utilize its many features.

About Auction Preview
To access the Auction Preview, navigate to the appropriate auction from the Dashboard and select Auction > Preview Auction.
The Auction Attributes that have been enabled on the event's Edit Settings page (Auction > Edit Settings) determine which data (columns) can be viewed on the Auction Preview. For example, if a catalog containing seller codes has been imported, that seller information will not be visible on the Auction Preview until the Assign Seller(s) to Lots attribute has been enabled. The Auction Preview defaults to displaying a catalog in Lot Number order- not lot sequence. The Auction Preview can be sorted to display lots in sequence order once the appropriate column has been added.
Auction Preview an be used with both Form Builder and Report Builder.
Navigation
Scroll bars to the left and bottom of the page can be used to view all of the data in the Auction Preview.
Select a quantity from the Show Entries drop-down menu at the bottom of the page to change the number of lots listed per page.
Use the navigational buttons in the bottom right corner of the page to move between the Auction Preview pages.
Sort/Filter
The Auction Preview defaults to displaying a catalog in Lot Number order (not lot sequence) but it can be filtered, sorted, and searched:

Filter lots by selecting an option from the Filter Options drop-down menu at the top of the page:
- All Lots
- Incomplete Lots
- By Category
- By Sellers
- Sort lots by clicking on the column headers. For example, clicking the Name/Title column header will sort all of the lot names alphabetically from A-Z. Clicking it again will sort from Z-A.

Search by entering text into the Search field. Wavebid will automatically filter the lots based on the text entered.
Adding/Removing Columns
To add or remove columns of data from the Auction Preview, click the Columns button in the top right corner of the page.
The Auction Attributes that have been enabled on the event's Edit Settings page (Auction > Edit Settings) determine which columns can be added to the Auction Preview. For example, the Seller column cannot be added to the Auction Preview unless the Assign Seller(s) to Lots attribute has been enabled. For more information relating to Auction Attributes, see Auction Settings.
The Auction Preview defaults to displaying a catalog in Lot Number order- not lot sequence. To view the Auction Preview in sequence order, click on the Columns button and then click on the Sequence Number header. Once the Sequence Number column appears on the Auction Preview, click on the top of the column (the column header) to sort the Preview by lot sequence. Print/Download
To download a copy of the Auction Preview, click the Download button in the top right corner of the page.
- Copy: Copies all of the rows to the computer's clipboard. The content can then be pasted anywhere.
- Excel: Downloads the Auction Preview content into an Excel spreadsheet.
- CSV: Downloads the Auction Preview content into a comma-separated values (.CSV) format spreadsheet.
- Print Visible: Places all of the rows and columns selected (using the Column button) into a table to be printed.
- Print All: Places all of the rows and all of the columns (regardless of whether they've been selected using the Column button) into a table to be printed.
- PDF (no images): Downloads the Auction Preview content into a PDF document without any photos.
Editing Lots
Lots can quickly be edited by clicking on any of the fields and making changes.
Clicking on certain fields, such as Lot Title, will open a small pop-up window where the text can be edited as needed. Click the Update button to save the changes.
Clicking on other fields, such as Quantity, will allow the user to make changes directly within the field. Clicking away from the field saves the change.
There are also lot options in the Lot Number column for each lot:
- Preview Lot: Click on the Binoculars icon to be taken to a preview page for just that lot.

Edit Lot: Click on the Pencil icon to be taken to the Lot Builder page for that lot. Save changes by clicking the Disk icon in the top right corner of the page.
- Lots can also be edited by clicking on any of the fields on the Auction Preview.
- View Invoice: Click on the Dollar Bill icon to view the invoice the lot was clerked to. This option will only appear after a lot is clerked to a bidder.
Users can also click the Lot Actions button in the top right corner of the page to access a list of links for creating and editing lots.
- New: A pop-up window will open. Enter information to create a new lot and then click the Create button. The new lot will be visible in the Auction Preview.
The remaining Lot Actions options will only become available after selecting a lot by clicking the checkbox to the left of the Lot Number:

Quick Edit: The built-in lot editor window will open. Make the desired changes and click the Update button. Changes will be reflected in the Auction Preview.
- Lots can also be edited by clicking on any of the fields on the Auction Preview.
- Edit - Lot Builder: The Lot Builder page will open to the selected lot. Save changes by clicking the Disk icon in the top right corner of the page.
- Add Video: The video upload page will open for this lot. Enter the YouTube embed code and click the Save button. For more information, see Add Videos to Lots.
- Add PDF: The PDF upload page will open for this lot. Select the attachment and click the Save button. See the 'Adding Attachments to Lots' section of the Lot Builder article for more information.
- Delete: Removes the selected lot from the catalog. A confirmation window will open. Click the Delete button to confirm. Deleted lots cannot be retrieved.
