Auction Services (Ignite): Updating the Syndication Server Address

Wavebid is updating its server infrastructure. As part of this change, the syndication server address saved in your Auction Services Plugin (also known as Ignite) settings needs to be updated. If this update is not made by 9/24/2026, the plugin will no longer be able to sync your auction data to your website.

Before You Begin

Before making changes to the plugin settings, confirm that your WordPress site meets the following minimum requirements. If your site does not meet these requirements, you will need to upgrade before proceeding. Contact your website host or IT team if you are unsure what versions you are running.

If your settings page does not load correctly when you follow the steps below, or you see a PHP error, your WordPress or PHP version likely needs to be upgraded before you can proceed. Contact your website host or IT team for assistance with upgrading, then return to this article.

Update the Syndication Server Address

1. Open a web browser and go to your WordPress Admin login page. 
   • This is usually at: https://yourwebsite.com/wp-admin
   • Replace yourwebsite.com with your actual domain. 
2. Enter your username and password and click the Log In button.
3. Click on the Settings menu option on the left side of the page and then select Ignite Configuration.
4. On the Ignite Configuration settings page, locate the field containing the current syndication server address. The field will contain a value that looks like: https://syndication.wavebid.com
   • Depending on the version of the plugin installed, this field may be labelled Server URL, Syndication URL, or Ignite Base. Look for any field whose current value includes the word 'syndication'.
5. Click inside the field and delete the existing address.
6. Type the following new address into the field: https://www.wavebid.com/syndication
   • Type the new address exactly as shown above, including https:// at the beginning. Do not include any spaces before or after the address.
7. Scroll to the bottom of the settings page and click the Save Changes button.
   • A confirmation message will appear at the top of the page once the settings have been saved successfully.

Verify the Change

After saving, confirm the plugin is working correctly:

1. Visit the auction listings page on your website and confirm the auction data is displaying as expected.
2. If your site includes bidding or registration links generated through Wavebid, click one to confirm it loads without errors.

• The Auction Services (Ignite) Plugin settings page does not load, displays a blank screen, or shows an error.
• You cannot locate a field containing the syndication server address.
• After saving, your auction data is no longer displaying on your website.
