Payment Gateways

This article describes the process for connecting Payment Gateway accounts to Wavebid. For information on processing payments, or for payment errors, see Payments.

This article contains the following sections:

What is a Payment Gateway?

A Payment Gateway allows for credit card payments to be processed through Wavebid. Wavebid cannot process credit card payments without an integrated Payment Gateway, as Wavebid does not access or store credit card data. Anytime credit card data is entered into Wavebid, either manually or via a credit card reader, that data is sent directly to the Payment Gateway..

Without a Payment Gateway, auction houses can still accept cash, money orders, checks, etc. and use Wavebid to track those payments.

Wavebid supports the four Payment Gateways listed below. Users will need to create an account with at least one of these Payment Gateways and then link the account(s) to Wavebid in order to process credit card payments through Wavebid.

  1. PayTrace
  2. Authorize.net
  3. Payflow
  4. PlugNPay

APN

Please note that APN (Auction Payment Network) is not integrated with Wavebid. For more information, see the 'APN and Wavebid' section of the Proxibid Integration Help Article.
